The following is a bio card for one of my primary villain OC's, a Saurian rogue named 'Cadmus.'

Like Hakari, Cadmus was once a member of a Saurian clan of ninjas, all tasked with protecting the innocent by any means necessary. Unlike Hakari, Cadmus has no reservations about eliminating his targets. In fact, Cadmus was one of the most skilled and most revered young assassins within the entire clan. However, as time went on, Cadmus started questioning his orders; questioning if the people he was killing were any worse than those he called his comrades.

It wasn't long before Cadmus became disillusioned by the entire creed, and eventually broke off from the clan, going rogue. Many of his former comrades pursued Cadmus, trying to eliminate him before he could use their teachings and training for evil...and not a single one survived. For Cadmus, it wasn't about right or wrong anymore. As far as he was concerned, it was all relative, and the end result was the same anyway.

So, he simply stopped caring about ideologies, and instead, sought simply to turn his very particular set of skills into an asset he could profit from. Cadmus now acts as a mercenary and assassin for hire, someone who carries out devastating attacks and swift, covert, often times VORACIOUS assassinations without anyone ever catching wise.

Cadmus is deviously cunning, supremely intelligent, a master martial artist and an expert assassin, making him one of the most dangerous criminals on the planet...

Some tidbits:

- Saurians are a race of snake-like reptilians, capable of shifting into human form. In his human form, Cadmus possess a toned, athletic build with swift reflexes to help him evade incoming strikes. In his Saurian form, Cadmus is much larger, exponentially stronger, and possesses a venomous bite that, in small doses, can cause short term paralysis. In larger doses, it could kill an elephant.

- Saurians are capable of swallowing men whole. Cadmus has trained to the point where he can actually swallow someone whole even in his human form, whereas most other Saurians have to shift into their true form to devour their prey. Like Hakari, Cadmus' belly can expand by a good number of feet to accommodate large portions of food and, unlike Hakari, living prey even in human form.

- Unlike Hakari, Cadmus has no qualms about devouring his prey, and quite relishes the opportunity whenever he gets it. He loves squirmy prey and has a very strong stomach lining, meaning the more prey thrashes, the more euphoric the sensation becomes for Cadmus.

- Cadmus has a near-genius level intellect. He was a very quick learner and consumed knowledge when in the clan, excelling in every subject, and retaining every bit of information. He's fluent in English, Japanese, Spanish, French, Arabic and Gaelic. Literature was always his favorite subject, and years later, he still expands his mind, reading advanced textbooks and renown novels in his spare time when not on call.

- Cadmus never loses his cool. He is a supremely confident and calm individual. However, he's also constantly calculating. He can read virtually anyone around him and have them figured out within minutes of meeting them. He's also an extremely skilled warrior and as such, is never concerned about being in danger, as he can fight off multiple assailants at once, even in his human form. There's very little that can get under Cadmus' skin or provoke any sort of emotional response from him.

- Cadmus is Hakari's arch nemesis, and in the first few encounters, the only reason Hakari survived was because Cadmus was amused by the young ninja's naiveté. And to some extent, Cadmus sees a bit of himself in Hakari when he was younger. Cadmus almost pities Hakari for being so bound by the whims of others instead of just doing things for himself.

- Despite his skills in hand-to-hand combat, Cadmus' weapon of choice is a Bowie Knife, which he's so apt at using, it's like an extension of himself.

- Despite his villainous nature, Cadmus has a code of conduct and honor. He refuses to kill women, children, or the elderly, even if either one tries to kill him. And on more than one occasion, he HAS shown mercy to people without any provocation. Additionally, while he's a very skilled and ruthless assassin as well as a mercenary when the job calls for it, he refuses to commit terrorist acts like bombings because Cadmus doesn't believe in collateral damage.

- That said, he's still a villain through and through and has zero qualms killing anyone marked as a target or anyone who gets in his way.

- Cadmus is actually the one responsible for giving Koloss that scar across his eye. He and the inhuman crocodile both served the same villainous mastermind for a time, and Koloss didn't like taking orders from someone he claimed should be in Koloss' belly, not bossing him around. Cadmus responded by beating Koloss half to death and slicing him across the face to show him exactly why Albatross chose him over the dumber reptile. Cadmus is one of the few people Koloss has become genuinely terrified of, immediately playing ball and doing whatever Cadmus orders him to do, especially since Cadmus was able to nearly kill him without even needing to shift into his true form.

- Despite being a skilled warrior who revels in getting his hands bloody, Cadmus is an expert strategist and manipulator as well. He was able to manipulate Drake into doing his bidding, and even played rival gangs against one another for his benefit.

- Despite working frequently for Albatross, Cadmus doesn't believe in his cause. Albatross just happens to be Cadmus' best client. Though, Albatross is also the only client Cadmus would never betray, both out of professional courtesy, and because, while he's very good at masking his emotions, Albatross intimidates him.

- Cadmus is a deeply lustful Saurian who seeks pleasure above romance or anything else. He's bisexual and veers slightly towards women than men, but deep down, isn't especially interested in anyone. To an extent, sex is one of the only forms of real interaction he has with other people outside of the job. Beyond that, he's a mostly isolated individual. He doesn't believe that he needs anyone in his life, but part of him does wish that he felt differently; that he could care for someone the way other people do.
