Definitely the highlight of the past few years and the fulfilled dream of mine - the weekend at CERN! 10h per each day of running around the huge facility, seeing all kinds of experiments and equipment, meeting thousands of other physics enthusiasts - all it was possible thanks to the CERN Open Days! I was very lucky to go down to the Large Hadron Collider at a few different points and see its experiments: ATLAS (7000-tonne, 46m long and 25m high detector), CMS (14,000-tonne! detector), ALICE - the most complicated machines ever built, and walk down the LHC tunnel itself. Equally amazing was to meet real physicists and engineers who work there, all of them were kind enough to answer tonnes of my questions. Thank you a lot, guys and CERN for organizing such a mindblowing event!
