A bit of a rushed warm-up sketch I did last night! When you're in debt to the Toon Mob, you have to pay it back one way or another. And there's ALWAYS a high demand for stylish (living) toony clothing, especially socks and pinstripe jackets!

Basically, the Toon Mob consider time spent existing as clothing as the debtor's "official" job, so every hour would count towards a wage, depending on the perceived value of whatever clothing they're transformed into. For example, a person transformed into a fancy pair of socks would likely earn $2-3 per hour for EVERY hour they remain as socks.
Thus, they will slowly and eventually pay off their debts by being useful to the Mob as clothing--while also not using up any resources or food, or even taking up much room space during their time in service. That way, they don't add to their debt at all.

Really late, but I just noticed that there's a comment here by EC about being paid $2 an hour EVERY hour for being socks. Decided to check out the numbers on that: Something like $2000 will set you back about 41 days....considering they couldn't begin to pay them back I get the feeling our friend is going to be here for significantly longer.
