Kalándria, year 4998. The Central Colony. Lacia the seamstress is a young 18-year-old civet who, after losing everything, is chased by Titan the Dictator, the evil tyrant and oppressor Governor of the Central Colony, who felt madly in love with the redheaded girl and now he wants to force her to get marry with.
While she runs away from the governor, Lacia meets Sly, Hardy and Lucy, other girls also persecuted or hassled by the Governor, making friendship with Lacia and help her reach The South Colony, where Lacia finally finds Tania, her cousin.
The 5 girls decide to return to The Central Colony; in their way back they met Minerva, whose parents were unfairly jailed by the Governor, and all together decide to go to the rescue of her beloved parents; unknowing that with this, the 6 gals will be involved in a rebellion against Titan the governor, and starting with:
The Misadventures of Lacia & the Rebels.
By 1998 I started with my next project and series of characters, The Rebels. I had originally thought in a trio of boys; but I thought it would be more fun and interesting if they were an all-girls cast; besides that in that time, daring girls were in vogue. I also twice the fun to 6 characters and that is how Lacia & the Rebels, “Sly”, “Hardy”, Lucy, Tania and Minerva born. Then, the series was completed by other 4 leading characters (not all females): Caftor, Rea, Rigel and Delta (who do not appear here). The Rebels are “pacifist” warriors so they do not use more weapons than their hands, strength and habilities to fight against the tyrant governor of the Central Colony, Titan the Dictator and his henchmen, starting with Tae the Joker, cousin of Titan; and against the Army and Police Royal forces.
I have to say that this is my favorite series of all I have ever done, even up to now. It is also the longest running series with 51 written chapters (+ 35 planned) from 1998 to 2005, when I left the series in hold.
Some data:
- You might think the series is so MLP FiM, but no (although the appearance of FiM motivated me to continue the series). In fact the series is based in Sailor Moon and other similar anime of that time; besides in those years (97/98) the ponies were not like now.
- In the series there are 4 related characters: Lacia and Tania are cousins; Caftor and Rea are siblings; Delta and Iki (another antagonistic character) are relatives; Titan and Tae are also cousins.
- No character has special or paranormal powers, except Delta and Iki, who have certain special powers and strange stories.
- While the Rebels do not use lethal weapons to defend themselves (such as knives or firearms), they use certain accessories to defend themselves or attack, if necessary. His main strategy is to run away.
- Not all Rebels are gals, Caftor and Rigel are the male part of the group. Despite this in the entire series they are always referred to as Las Rebeldes (female Spanish word for The Rebels).
- “Sly” and “Hardy” are nicknames… real names of this two rebels are Eustaquia (who really doesn’t like her own name) and Xar-Di (pronounced JARDI latin)
- This characters have no surnames. Except Hardy (Xar-Di) Gordillo (surname) and Delta (her surname, in fact her full name is Lucia Fernanda Delta) and Iki (also from the Delta family)
- I do not consider the series for minor audiences; although the series is clean of sexual situations, it contains spicy humor and high content of gender violence.
Kalándria, año 4998. Colonia Central. Lacia la Costurera es una joven civeta de 18 años que, tras perderlo todo, es perseguida por Titán el Dictador, el tirano y opresor Gobernador de la Colonia, quien está enamorado perdidamente de la pelirroja y pretende obligarla a casarse con él a la fuerza.
Durante su escape, Lacia va haciendo amistad con Sly, Hardy y Lucy, otras chicas igualmente perseguidas o perjudicadas por el Gobernador, y le ayudan a llegar a la Colonia del Sur, donde Lacia encuentra a Tania, su prima.
Las 5 chicas deciden regresar a la Colonia Central, conociendo a Minerva, cuyos padres fueron encarcelados injustamente por el Gobernador y todas juntas deciden ayudarla a rescatar a sus padres; sin saber, con esto, que las 6 chicas estarían iniciando una rebelión contra el tirano Titán el gobernador, y dando inicio con:
Las Desventuras de Lacia y Las Rebeldes.
Para 1998 comencé mi siguiente proyecto y serie de personajes, Las Rebeldes. Originalmente había pensado en un trio de chicos; pero pensé que sería más divertido e interesante que fueran chicas; además de que en esa época, las chicas aventureras estaban de moda. También dupliqué la cantidad a 6 y así surgieron Las Rebeldes Lacia, “Sly”, “Hardy”, Lucy, Tania y Minerva. Posteriormente la serie se complementó con otros 4 personajes protagónicos: Caftor, Rea, Rigel y Delta (quienes no aparecen aquí). Las Rebeldes son guerreras “pacifistas” por lo que no usan más armas que sus manos, fortaleza y agilidad, aunque cada una cuenta con algún accesorio que pueden usar para defenderse. Ellas luchan contra el tirano opresor gobernador de la Colonia Central, Titán el Dictador y su séquito de secuaces, empezando por Tae el bufón, primo de Titán; y contra las fuerzas de la Colonia, el Ejército y la Policía Reales.
Debo decirles que es mi serie favorita de todas las que he hecho, incluso hasta ahora. También es la más larga con 51 capítulos escritos (+ 35 planificados) que trabajé de 1998 a 2005, donde deje la serie en suspensión.
Algunos datos:
-Podría pensarse que la serie es copia de MLP FiM, pero no (aunque la aparición de esta última me motivó a seguir con la serie en). De hecho la serie tiene más de Sailor Moon y otros animes de la época, además de que en esos años (97/98) los ponis no eran como hoy.
-En la serie hay 4 personajes relacionados: Lacia y Tania son primas; Caftor y Rea son Hermanos; Delta e Iki (otro personaje antagónico) son familiares; Titán y Tae son primos.
-Ningún personaje tiene poderes especiales o paranormales, excepto Delta e Iki, quienes tienen ciertas habilidades sensoriales e historias extrañas.
-Si bien las Rebeldes no usan armas letales para defenderse (como cuchillos o armas de fuego), si usan ciertos accesorios para defenderse o atacar, si es necesario. Su principal estrategia es huir.
-No todas Las Rebeldes son féminas, Caftor y Rigel son la parte masculina del grupo. A pesar de esto en toda la serie siempre se les refiere como Las Rebeldes (femenino).
-“Sly” y “Hardy” son apodos; los verdaderos nombres de estas rebeldes son Eustaquia (quien no le gusta mucho su verdadero nombre) y Xar-Di (que se pronuncia JARDI y se escribe Hardy).

Suena divertida esta serie, sin embargo la serie que más ha despertado mi interes fue la The Cantiga: “Crónicas de Una familia Caótica” me recordo mucho a series que pasaban en canal 5 a la hora de la comida XD
La verdad el hecho de que en esa serie introdujeras la muerte de un personaje principal como el fin de la serie me pareció muy ingenioso y a la vez "doloroso" o sorpresivo ya que le da un tono final triste. En cualquier caso ¡muy interesante todo esto!
