Loving the design here ;) I really like how you gave him a feeling of weight and power, even though he's just standing there. Something about his stance and the 'heft' he has in his legs and feet. I usually find Morton to be my least favorite of the Koopa Kids, but you definitely changed my tune a little here.
Also, I only just realized that you've been using the Koopa Kids' primary colors for those background patches/streaks! That's a really cool touch.
