Persephone/Kore ref
SO a while ago, I posted a pic of my Oc Jaden as the goddess Persephone, and mentioned an interest in creating a comic based on her myth.
Well, here's my first concept/reference art of that very thing.
I've decided to make this comic with "human"with air quotes because she's a goddess and technically only [i]looks[\i] human??? figures instead of furry, because...
well, it's easier for me.
I'm not that good at drawing anthro's yet, okay, I'M STILL LEARNING!!
But this also gives me a chance to show my usual art style. So, yay.
I'm still working on the other character concepts, and I need to refresh my memory when it comes to the myth itself before I get to scripting so
This is gonna be a long going project.
Just researching the clothing style ALONE has taken up quite a bit of my time, but I want it to be authentic and recognizable as Greek so. WORTH IT!!
Oh, and if anyone is wondering at the Kore part, Persephone is known as Kore as well, which from what research I've managed to look up on it means young women, especially a virgin one?
Or something, I could be wrong, PLEASE LET ME KNOW FOR SURE!!
But yeah, I'll be posting more stuff on my comic and such as I get there; currently having trouble with the design for Hades cuz... so manry...and I draw mostly femboys if I draw male characters at all.

It looks so cool. When designing Hades I would recommend highlighting his aspect as a chthonic god of wealth (though that’s somewhat more as Pluto) in addition to his status as underworld god (and not god of death that’s Thanatos). Also unlike most modern portrayals he’s pretty chill (Zeus, Poseidon, and most any other god reigned down punishment far more often) all he really did was abduct Persephone. I would advise portraying him as wealthy (showing some bling) and kingly with more subtle underworld god aspects like pale undead esque appearance. Though now part of me wants to see femboy Hades lol
Oh yeah, no, I love Hades to death, he's such a chill god compared to the others. About the only crappy thing he ever did was kidnap Persephone, but this is during a time period where kidnapping your future wife was kinda, just a thing, and compared to most of the other gods *cough*Zeus, Poseidon, Aprhodite *cough* their relationship is REALLY DAMN GOOD. Not his fault all his siblings/nieces/nephews are all a bunch of horny idiots. Except for Athena and Hermes, they're pretty chill too. I'll take your suggestions into account, I'm mostly having trouble with his overall masculine form, since he is a warrior as well as a king.
I may draw a femboy Hades just for funzies sometime but otherwise, thanks for the advice!
