Since my birthday is coming up (in 2 days!!!) I decided to do a little something for myself, to celebrate how hard I work. =) This is me at my chosen place of employment, good ol' Petsmart, where I am a Pet Care Specialist aka glorified fish-hawker. ;) When people want a fish, I'm the one who catches it, bags it and tells them how to take care of it.
I have always had fishtanks, but since I started working here, I've taken a real interest in keeping fish. My own tanks are looking pretty spiffy lately. The goldfish are my favorite, which is why I've included their tanks in the background here, and yes, that's really what they look like at my store =D
I will give brownie points to anyone who can tell me the species of fish that's in the bag she's holding. =) (Yes its a goldfish, but which kind?)

You stay very busy cuz there's always something to do - clean this cage, feed that animal, put this away etc. But its also a lot of fun. I mean, how many people can say "I fed a snake at work today" ? =D Plus, when you do have some free time, you can hold stuff.

Khuli loaches are cool, a pain in the butt to catch though! Also rather difficult to vaccuum around.

http://animal-world.com/encyclo/fre.....hWFLO_Ap4A.jpg That's pretty much what mine looks like. ^.^ They are also called Japanese Weather Loaches. Mine likes to uproot plants but other than that, he's pretty well behaved. He's never even tried to jump outta the tank.
