“M..mister... would you like to p..purchase a box of m..matches ..?”

The pale shaking voice came from the poor little mouse. Shivering from both cold and hunger, she stood there trembling. Slowly lift her small right hand to show me a matchbox. Her bright green eyes look sad and weary, begging me to buy some.

The storm was killing her... it was so painful to watch. I wouldn’t let her find the exact tragic end as that story. So I decided to bring her home to get her some warm and delicious food.

After a good rest, she introduced herself. Her name is Olivia, 26, she came from Britain in the hope to start a new life. Unfortunately, when she arrived she was robbed, and all she has left is a box of matches. Surviving here as a mouse is not gonna be simple with that small and fragile body, nobody will accept her to work. That was why she ended up selling matches on the street.

She was so lucky to meet me, who knows what fate awaited her if she kept wandering there.

And that’s how I met Olivia, my own mouse maid.
