Jahiri - Coffee in the Rain [Art Fight]
Jahiri isn't the one raising a smile usually, and definitely not around moody people. Many seem to misunderstand her grumpy attitude, as she's only looking forward to some time to enjoy. Time with a good cup of coffee for example or enjoying a rainy day (preferably without getting wet. If these things combine, she might as well light up a little and stand out from her monochrome environment.
I attempted this twice; The first draft of this didn't really show her character well enough; I focused too much on her grumpiness that was both challenging and a let-down the further I worked on it. I decided to go with a new concept that shows her from her happy side, featuring things that make her happy; coffee and rain.
It was a good exercise since I don't usually do rainy urban scenes, they should make for a nice variety in my gallery :3
