Also, I failed to mention this in the description, if it would help you understand this piece at all: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semantic_satiation
Maybe if you like the word, or associate good things with it, it can have more IMPORTANCE IMPORTANCE IMPORTANCE IMPORTANCE IMPORTANCE IMPORTANCE IMPORTANCE IMPORTANCE IMPORTANCE IMPORTANCE IMPORTANCE IMPORTANCE IMPORTANCE IMPORTANCE IMPORTANCE IMPORTANCE at least when you don't dwell on the word's repetition. It'll jump out at you more, and you'll end up paying more attention to it. I dunno, it makes you think positively, I guess.
Positive thinking is my jam.
Positive thinking is my jam.
That's perfectly fine, isn't it?

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could, to some extent, numb ourselves to the words in this piece? I think that, in our current society, we hear these things far too much.
Maybe it'd be good for us if we could stop hearing people say "NO! YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO DO THIS! YOU ARE NOT CAPABLE! I AM NOT LETTING YOU DO THIS! STOP!"
I think we could replace this whole nastiness with something along the lines of "I CAN do this." Or, "I am perfectly capable of doing this, despite what ________ tells me."

That's an interesting idea. If negative words turned to meaningless noises in the brain, would you cease to have negative thoughts? Or would negative thoughts just be wordless (and perhaps even with less power because of that)?
Though, the wiki article does call it a temporary phenomenon. I wonder how permanent you could make it, though..

Now that's some serious positive thinking, right there. That's what I'm talkin' about. ;'3

I'm flattered, because that insinuates that this belongs in an art gallery. :'3
Also, I guess it would have made a lot of sense to have not forgotten to mention this in the description: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semantic_satiation
