Actually, we were on our way back from FC and I was looking out the car window, gawking at birds. Take into account that I was in that post-con 'comedown' mode, and there were all kinds of birds right next to the freeway - egrets, hawks, scrub jays, gulls, turkey vultures, crows etc. etc. and then the thought hit me that birds have been around for an almighty long time and they just keep on rockin' it.
