In the late 1950's and early 1960's, when color television was making its way into the marketplace, the "Big 3 of Networks" (NBC, ABC, and CBS) were looking for innovative ways to let the viewers know when a particular show would be broadcast in color. Thanks to a visit to the Greater Los Angeles Zoo, anyone old enough to remember these "In Color ID's" will tell you that NBC had the most memorable of the three. But don't take my word for it...See for yourself:

Some of those logos can be fascinating. I know NBC has changed logos more times than I can remember. They had a microphone, then the 3 chimes, the peacock, the interconnected letters(they call it the "spider logo"), the red-and-blue "N", and finally a stylized peacock.
And I've never seen "Oddity Archive". It does sound interesting. I might look into it sometime.
And thanks for the fave.
