Wow, what a tragic situation this dude has. He's got so much impossibility going for him...wow this sucks. I feel bad for him. Maybe if I knew more than you told me, I wouldn't.

I think it's actually okay to feel bad for Alfred. Some people might disagree with me, but he was a horrible product of his environment, isolation, and neglect. While it doesn't excuse some of his actions, he's more a misfortunate accomplice in most aspects than anything else. The horrible things he does are mainly at the bidding of Alexia, or done with her best wishes in mind.
