Unfortunate Misunderstanding (C)
Two buddyfight stories in the span of a week. Whew! I guess people on FA love their Buddyfight vores. I guess because it's not really been given a lot of love here on this website. It makes me happy when I get asked to write these stories! Even more so when I'm asked to write one based off a comic!
This was commissioned by
ViceX who wanted a story of Bal eating and absorbing his dragon character Juno. Go check out his userpage for the art comic he made of this a few years ago. It's really good I think!
Anyway do enjoy!

Unfortunate Misunderstanding
It was a normal day as any in the city...No diabolical villain was threatening the world, and no bad monsters causing mayhem for the buddy police to really apprehend. Well none that were important enough to be broadcast on live television. Bal was happy about that. Not only because it made life a little easier on Gao who was working hard with his friends so they'd be ready for the Triple D cup, but easier on Bal too!
The only downside to such peace...was Bal couldn't go with Gao to school anymore! The teacher just wouldn't allow it since the level of danger that the town had gone through in the past few weeks diminished. In light of this, the class had a school field trip that would take them out camping. Gao and his family would be out of the city for the whole weekend since parental chaperones were required for this kind of overnight stay.
Bal in his miniaturized version, looked a lot like the kid he was. He wore a goggle shaped headpeace just above his eyes, with two black that rose out of his forehead. He had a head full of hair that was spiked up and red, as if it were on fire. The oddest feature of this chibi dragon was the red sun emblem on his belly, and a bronze shaped rectangle that was protruding from it's center. His body was a warm orange scaled coloration save for the area of his belly that wasn't surrounded by the emblem, which was a lighter tone, sort of a go between of orange and white.
If Bal was left alone all weekend he'd go crazy! Thankfully, Gao had a compromise. If Bal wasn't allowed to go to the campgrounds then he'd throw a fit. So with Tasuku's permisison, Jack was left behind to keep an eye on Bal to make sure he didn't eat out the whole house, or break anything. This turned out to be the best idea, since Bal looked up to Jack as if the dragon were his mentor so having him around kept Bal happy. Or it did for the first few hours. But after a few buddy fights between dragons, the younger one started whining.
Jack, which was short for Jackknife Dragon, was a miniaturized green dragon who's facial features made him look more gator like. His belly and inner wings were a lighter shade of green, almost white, and wore a grey helmet with red lines similar to dragon claws decorated on them. IN the center, and pointing more towards his back was a large sharp blade which as the name suggested, looked like the sharp end of a Jack Knife.
"Bal is bored! Let's invite friends over to play Bal!" Bal asked with his cheeks puffed out. They'd been having several buddyfights over the span of 3 hours, watching television on the side but being stuck alone at home didn't leave much for the imagination.
Jack could sense Bal's growing boredom and knew if something wasn't done soon, they were liable to have a mess in the house that the Mikado family wouldn't be happy about when they got home from the field trip tomorrow. "Alright Bal." he spoke in a level that Bal could understand. "I'll invite a dragon friend of mine over. And we can play for awhile. I'll even order us some Pizza, long as you promise to behave."
"Really?! You will?" Bal immediately stood up straight with his chest puffed out. "Bal will be good!"
"Right..." Jack smiled to himself. "You just sit right there." He gestured to the couch with a clawed finger. "And I'll go get this friend of mine and order the pizza."
"Bal do! Bal do!" The cute chibi dragon leapt onto the couch, practically tackling one of the seat cushions and face planting head first into it. It took him a few seconds to reorient himself and sat up straight. "Bal will wait!"
Sighing in exasperation, Jack started walking to the front door, his small feetpaws making light tippy tappy sounds as he did, kind of like he were stepping on a squeaky ball each time. "Now stay there, and watch some TV. I'll be back with my friend before you know it."
Jack took a deep breath and stepped out of the house his body started growing into more of a feral dragon that was easily as tall as the building they'd been staying in. Or at least tall enough that the blade atop his head could have seriously cut up their cieling. The large green dragon bent his knees to prepare for his ascent before he sprang into the air!
Bal did love to see Jack transform. His Mentor was so fierce in his true form and instilled a sense of fear and awe in everyone that looked to him. but also respect. His friends never felt fear around Jack and that feeling of safety extended to most everybody who wasn't up to any good. Still...Bal grabbed the television remote that was sitting right on the coffee table and clicked it once.
1 hour passed...2 hours...Bal was starting to get cranky again, and jumping up and down on the couch when he heard the telltale sound of wings flapping just over head followed by a THUD. Someone landed on the roof. "What was that Bal!" The small dragon started running out the door and spotted Jack who was starting to shrink into his chibi form once again, and then another. A quadroped dragon that had a light beige coloring of his fur. yes fur, rather than scales...with a pink underbelly and tail. It had two tailrings attached to the flexible appendage and bronze brown colored hair that ran down it's back and the middle of that very tail. The outer wings were colored the same as thhe hair, save for the underside, which those were colored a sort of mahogany. Bal's eyes glittered a bit as he stared into the eyes of this blue eyed friend. "He looks cool, Bal!"
The new dragon stared down at the young creature. The excitement in this little guy's eyes definitely made an impression as he leapt off the rooftip and landed just a few feet from Bal's spot. "Hey there little guy! My name is Juno. Jack says you...wanted to play with friends?"
"Yeah! I want to play! And eat pizza and have more buddyfights! My name is Bal. It's nice to meet you Bal!" The Chibi dragon giggled, holding his paw out to Juno's to shake his hand.
What energy! Juno giggled and grabbed Bal's paw and shook it with a forepaw. "Can I ask you a question? Why do you keep saying Bal at the end of your sentance?"
"What do you mean, Bal?" Bal asked with a tilt of his head. It was apparent that he was oblivious to his own mannerisms.
"Nevermind..." Juno smiled, his lips curling back a bit as he leaned down to get a better look at the little one. "So then, what do you want to play?"
Bal was a little intimidated by the big head coming down at him and took a step back, until he heard mention of playing. "Bal? Hmmm I have an idea Bal!" The chibi dragon leapt onto Juno's back, laughing a bit. "Let's run around a bit!"
"What? Seriously?" Juno asked as the weight of the little dragon set on his back. It wasn't that he minded too much. Jack DID warn him about Bal's energy and the little guy's eagerness when it came to certain aspects of playtime.
Jack laughed at the pair and waved a paw. "Go ahead and wear him down a bit. I'll go and order the pizza and by that time I'm sure you'll both be happy to chow down."
"Okay! Let's play now, Bal!" The little dragon cheered eagerly. He wiggled on top of Juno impatiently.
"Alright let's go then. Hold on tight." Juno warned the little guy who then gripped at the fur on his back. When he felt the light pull on his hair, the quadroped dragon started kicking his feet up and running down the neighborhood. "Are you having fun Bal?"
The small orange dragon was bouncing up and down on Juno's back, Half purposefully because he wanted a bit of a bounce in his ride, and half due to the speed of Juno's sprint. "Bal like!"
Jack watched the silouette of Juno running down the street, a sweat drop visably forming on the back of his head. "Hopefully Bal doesn't wear out Juno before the little guy's had his fun..." He started padding back into the Mikado household and grabbed the landline in the hallway to order the pizza.
Not 45 minutes later, do Bal and Juno return back to the house. The Quadropedal dragon breathing heavily while Bal looked as energetic as ever. "Bal had fun! Is the pizza here yet?"
"Yes it's here. But first why don't you go get yourself cleaned up first. It's not a good idea for a growing dragon to go to bed dirty after all." Jack reminded, waving a claw in front of Bal. "Go get washed up, and your Pizza will be ready for you."
"Ok! Bal will be right back!" The chibi orange dragon started running upstairs, singing 'pizza pizza pizza' the whole time.
"does he ever run out of energy?" Juno asked, grabbing a box that had his name penciled in on the side. He was just beginning to open the lid when up above on the second floor he heard 'Cannonball!' Followed by a very audible splashing sound.
"His Buddy is still trying to figure that out." Jack didn't know any other answer aside from that and was just beginning to write the sun dragon's name into his own box. "I'll be right back. I need to make sure the beds are ready for him. I don't think the Mikado family would mind if you stayed along for the night too."
Juno watched Jackknife hop to it upstairs and simply shrugged it off as he took a few more bites of the pizza that was ordered specifically for him. Bits of cheesy crumbs lay on the corner of his muzzle until he'd polished off the whole darn box. "Oooh...that was tasty!" Juno licked his lips and sprawled on the floor of the living room. He wouldn't fit on any of the beds upstairs so no reason for him to even try!
10 minutes later, Bal's scales were nice and shiny from the bath he just got out of. His hair was dripping slightly but he was too excited about the food to care. "I'm clean, Bal! Where's the pizza?!"
He padded into the living room where they were supposed to be eating and spotted Juno already taking a snooze on the floor, a nap after a well deserved meal. Bal stepped over with a giggle, not even noticing the name that was penciled into the box. "Bal! PIzza time now!"
Opening the Pizza box, Bal's eyes narrowed in a mix of sadness and surprise as the pizza box was empty save for a few crumbs. "Bal!? Where is the pizza?!" When he turned back to look at the beige furred dragon, he spotted the crumbs lining the furry dragon's muzzle and put 2 and 2 together. "You ate Bal's pizza!"
Juno grumbled when he was woken up due to Bal's outburst and opened his eyes. He didn't understand what the loud voice was for. "Huh...? What's the ma-"
Juno stopped mid sentance as the cute adorable dragon started growing in size, becoming a more anthropomorphic dragon that wore white/silvery armored knee pads and large gauntlets, both of which had a golden image of the sun decorated on them. Bal's small chibi form was very clearly disguising a bigger, feircer creature lurking within and the fact that there was a sword handle protruding from the dragon's chest/breast plate, he was dealing with a warrior of sorts.
Before he could even ask what was going on, Bal lifted one great foot and pinned Juno down. He stared at the foot holding his chest down then looked up at the tal slender dragon that now outsized him quite well. "Ouch! Hey Bal...what's the big ide-"
He watched one of Bal's gauntleted hands reaching down and grabbng him by the chest fur. Juno's eyes widened when the Sun dragon's lips opened before his eyes to reveal a set of sharp white teeth and a pink fleshy tongue. As he caught notice of a bit of drool dripping from the corner of Bal's muzzle, his attention was on that pulsing throat which seemed to be eagerly waiting to accept him. "A-Uh wait Bal!"
There was no waiting though. Bal closed his maw around Juno's head and neck, THANKFULLY...Bal didn't bite, or chew on him so there was no worry about blood or skin being broken by those sharp fangs. Still he found his head being pressed into that soft, fleshy tongue that was just coating him in thick, warm drool. It didn't help that every time he tried to get a word out, just a bit would get into his own mouth.
"Mmfh!!" Bal heard the muffled complaint's of his meal but disregarded them. He tasted over Juno's ehad before taking his first swallow! Powerful throat muscles getting to work on dragging his reptilian snack downward. He wanted his Pizza back, he was upset that Juno would eat all of the pizza without waiting for him at all. While the first swallow was to keep his prey from escaping, he'd use his hands to start cramming in the rest of Juno's slender frame into his maw, ignoring the protests and even giving a few smacks to those kicking hind paws whenever he started shoving them in. He'd tilt his head back, with each swallow slowly working Juno's body into his own, but there was one catch...
As Juno's feet paws were starting to dissapear into Bal's hungry jaws, he realized that his prey was caught in his throat. That wasn't good! If he didn't swallow hard enough then he'd choke in trying to get his pizza back! With force, Bal began to steel himself and swallowed as hard as he could, hearing a loud muffled groan inside of him as he was forcefully squeezing Juno in past the tightly formed chest plate that decorated his body before a great weight suddenly dropped below! His stomach and it's occupant dropped several inches downward and nearly hit the floor before Bal's springy like body snapped his belly back into it's proper sititng position. He let out a low grunt as he felt the snap back then stared down at the very apparent dragon bulge sitting in his stomach. Several bumps could be seen where Juno's paws were desperately frying to find a way out. "mmmph!" Was all that Bal could hear due to the layer of flesh that seperated him an his prey.
With a sigh, Bal looked down at his stomach and began rubbing it with his gauntleted hands. "Bal is getting his pizza back!" He lifted his stomach once, as if to play with Juno before letting it drop back down.
Inside of Bal's stomach, Juno groaned at the tightness within Ball's body. The pink, squishy walls around him pulsing and the heart beat around him made it hard for him to even speak over himself, but once he'd heard the reason behind his sudden devouring...it clicked. "What?! You silly dragon! Your's is in the other box!"
Ball didn't hear a word of that except for maybe 'silly'. He just rubbed down over his belly, licking his lips with satisfaction as he'd believed he did the right thing to get his pizza back. Eventually, the bulges within his stomach were beginning to grow less defined, smoothing out as Juno's protests started getting weaker. "Why is it getting so tight...all of a sudden?" He asked himself as the walls of the stomach were closing in around him, wet dripping fluid pooling around him and distracting him from his attempts to get through to Bal. "Ugh...I'm...so tired..."
The reason behind this was very simple...if Juno was paying ANY real attention to his surroundings, he'd see that his body was actually starting to be pulled INTO the stomach walls...he wasn't so much being digested, as he was being directly absorbed right into Bal's flesh without the additional steps. This was partly why his struggles had stopped, because he could barely move his arms which were more or less joined in with the flesh and sinking into it. His eyes began to grow heavier with each second, even as he stared at his surroundings through the lens of the goopy liquids that surrounded him.
After another 15 minutes, Bal's belly had shrunk down to it's original size, slender and fat free, though his stomach was now pretty empty...But the stomach walls had a fairly detailed imprint of the dragon's body. Kind of as if he'd become a part of that very flesh that had encased him and was pushing against it. He licked his lips in his satisfaction, until something inside of him began to click. There was a moment of confusion in the dragon's eyes before he just blacked out.
"Bal...? Bal!" The young dragon awoke again in his chibi form. Standing in front of him was Jack who looked at him with a concerned look in his eyes.
"Uh...? What happened Bal...?" The chibi dragon asked, looking at the pizza box. His stomach made a few idle gurgling sounds and he could have sworn he heard a voice coming from it...but was that just his imagination?
Jack signed, looking over Bal's body. "What have you done? Where's Juno?"
There was a loud belch from Bal's lips, as he spat out one of Juno's silver tail rings and giggled nervously. "Uh...I think I ate him...?"
"But WHY did you eat him is what I'm asking." Jack asked, trying to get to the bottom of this while staring at his friend.
"He ate my pizza, Bal! I wanted it back..." Bal's reasoning and logic was that of a child's but what could you expect when he'd only hatched a few months ago.
Jack smacked his own head, and picked up the box with Bal's name on it, still fresh and had every slice inside of it. "This is yours Bal. I wrote our names on each of the box's."
The revelation hit Bal and he got up from his seat. "I...I didn't know, Bal...! Can we get him back?"
Shaking his head, the Jackknife dragon pointed to Bal and then to the mirror. "Go take a look. That isn't going to be possible anymore."
The chibi dragon looked back down to his belly which made a low groaning sound again, but made his way to the mirror where he saw two key differences. His right eye was now blue like Juno's. And the other difference was the purple stripes that marked his cheeks as well as his back and legs. He wondered what that could have implied before clasping his hands over his cheeks. "I've absorbed Juno, Bal!!"
Jack nodded, and could tell the young dragon was scared out of his mind. He'd done something bad, but Jack couldn't punish the little guy. It was a misunderstanding and still he was quite young. "It's okay Bal, it's okay! You haven't killed him at the very least. He's still alive inside of you."
"S-So can we get him out, Bal?!" Bal asked, looking hopeful even as his stomach made another groan. He looked down at it and began to rub it. "I'm sorry Juno...!"
Jack shook his head and smiled sadly in Bal's direction. "I'm afraid not. He's a part of you now, and trying to get him out could end up destroying BOTH of you. Just be thankful that neither of you aren't dead. As for the markigns...I guess we'll just have to tell Gao that you evolved over the weekend." Which wasn't a complete lie. Absorbing another creature would count as an evolution in a buddy monster's growth. Just not one that was standard.
"O-okay. Let's tell him that then, bal." Bal nodded a few times and gave his belly a few pats. "Am I in trouble?"
"No. You're not in trouble. but that's a lot to happen in one day so let's just...put you to bed okay? I'll take care of that ring...and I'll put the Pizza in the fridge so you can have it tomorrow morning." Jack promised with an understanding smile.
Bal nodded a few times. What tears were about to fall, dried up with he was told he wasn't in trouble. And since Juno was a part of him now, he could finally have a friend with him all day whenever he was alone so he wouldn't get bored. He decided to make the best of it and smacked his belly as he followed Jack upstairs. "Ok Bal! We'll have a lot of fun together now that you're with me forever ,Bal!"
his belly's only response, to the casual smacks were a few low gurgling, and sloshing sounds as his belly had a slight wobble from the hefty dragon he'd consumed.
"Good night, Bal..." The small orange dragon mumbled as he climbed on into bed. When he shut his eyes, it didn't take him very long to fall asleep. Whether it was from exhaustion, or stress from the last hour, it didn't matter. There was finally quiet, and Jack was grateful for that.
The next day however, as Bal woke up, he made his way into the bathroom first thing. "Baaal?!" He exclaimed, prompting a well resting Jack to fall off the couch downstairs and onto the floor face first.
"What's wrong Bal? Are you o-" Jack was quick to rush into the room, but noticed that the markings that Bal had had on him from eating Juno were gone.
Tears started welling up inside of Bal's eyes, as he turned to look at Jack. "The...The markings are gone bal! is...is Juno..."
Jack shook his head, walking closer to his young companion and poking his belly, observing it and hearing a soft gurgling sound eminating from within. At the very least Bal was hungry...or maybe...He looked up at Bal and smiled. "You don't need to worry. Juno isn't dead. I suspect that it was his doing. He didn't want you to worry about what your buddy might think, or cause trouble for the family here."
"So...So is Juno still..." Bal sniffled a bit.
The green armored dragon nodded, a smile spreading along the sides of his muzzle. "He's still in there. And I'd assume he did it as a way to tell you that he's not mad that you've absorbed him. It's alright."
"I...It is...Bal...?" Bal asked as he looked down at his stomach, but he didn't get too much of a response aside from a few gurgles. "I feel Juno, Bal...! Bal will never forget!"

Nice! You also need to put Sentient and Belly tags so people can look for your story.
Great story. I already read the comic but I always was confused if Juno was alive or not.
Glad you did this story to point it out. ^^
Are you gonna make more stories like this? Being absorpted and still alive?
