Torak was a blacksmith before he was a robot (yes, you read that right; it's a long and complicated story involving angels and lightning). The high heat doesn't really bother him too much anymore. His sewing skills are a little rusty though (hee), so whenever a new hole shows up in his apron he just rivets a scrap piece of leather over it.
