Hey noodle what did you do today?
Well I woke up at 6:50 and headed to the living room, where I was able to take a nodl nap until around 7:30. We got grandpa ready for the day, and while changing his underwear, I noticed his wound smelled realllly putrid. I felt super bad for him.
Because our replacement nurse (Nurse Abraham) was arriving at 10ish, I decided to stay awake. At around 10:30 he called and said he was in the driveway, and he brought us sooooo many supplies, but because he forgot to grab the diapers, he felt bad. Relax Abraham, it's okay! He was a good nurse and took his vitals, then recommended we get some protein powder and high protein ensure for grandpa, so I put that on a list.
Nurse Abraham left around 11ish, and I took a nodl nap around 11:30. I woke up at 1:15ish and got ready to head out and about. I wrote my frand a check 'cause he's in an unstable spot in his life, then mailed it out and headed out and about around 1:30ish. I called mum as I headed north to the Walgreen's on the north end of the island for the protein stuff, and we chatted about how she wants to tell everyone about my sister's pregnancy, about how she and dad put about 100 miles on the seadoo, and about how dad wants to get RJ's number so he can meet with him to discuss grandpa's dwindling health. We chatted for about 20 minutes, then I went inside for the goods. I tried to get some stamps there as well, but neither the front registers, makeup registers, or pharmacy registers had any. Dang! I then drove to McD's and got a 6 piece chicken tendy meal with fries and a conke, and a side order of a double cheeseburg. I ate it while watching some windy storm roll in, then after I headed to the bank. When I went to the ATM it was super windy and cloudy and I loved it!
After depositing my check I headed to the north end post office and bought 100 Forever-Stamps for grandma. As I was driving back home I remembered reading about a letterbox in the local library, so I stopped and pulled over and decided to try and find it. Letterboxes are a lot like geocaches, and in fact the geocache site even allows you to post letterboxes on the cache site, but there's a difference! Unlike geocaching which uses coords, letterboxes take you to a location and describe landmarks, and you've gotta follow them to the final location. Also letterboxes have stamps in them! It was super stormy outside, but I was able to go inside the library and find the container on one of the shelves! It even had a call number! I opened it up and there was a homemade stamp made from an eraser, and it had the Marco Cat (famous archaeological relic) carved on it. I snapped a photo, closed up the box, then headed home.
When I got back home I spent the afternoon doodling pics and watching Hero Anime. At around 5ish Ian called and we chatted about the cold chill in the 70s and his garden. At around 5:45ish he hung up and I doodled a bit more. At 6ish I went ot the living room and drew some more, then around 6:30 we got grandpa ready for the night. As we were finishing up my jeep-frand called (The one I sent a check to), but I had to call him back 6 minutes later after getting the trash from inside the house and heading outside with it.
It felt super nice outside, and we chatted about his plants, what he's drinking these days (mostly lemonade!), and at around 7:30ish I hung up to help grandma make food and eat dinner. Our dinner of steak, mashed potates (Grandma wanted sweet potates, but apparently they'd gone bad), and green beans was super tasty, and grandma was like “Oh, I'm just sad that grandpa can't enjoy steak with us.”...I mean, yeah, I get that, and I was about to say that he'd had 9 decades of steak eating...But decided against it.
After eating (one of the boys on Jeopardy was just having a rotten night, getting close to -$8,000), I cleaned up and ate two chocolates and put grandma's plate in the dish washer then nebulized grandpa around 8:15. After, I headed back to my room and watched Hero School Anime while doing a little doodling and writing my autobiography. The writing was because I'd gotten a good streak of memories regarding my cub scout career, and there was a lot to mine there. At around 11ish I went ot the bathroom and did more typing while watching Best of the Worst (They liked Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, while I was eh on it) before grabbing a shower. After, I watched Cinderella 3 and thought it was actually a pretty good movie! I wound up going to bed around 3ish after watching some tubes.
I hope everyone has a steak-eating day! <333
