Hey noodle what did you do today?
Well I woke up at 6:50 and headed to the living room, where I was able to nap until about 8:30. I had a dream I was trying to help batman steal a giant gas canister from the bad guys down at the lake. We had to avoid them seeing us or the Bat-Crane that was lifting it. For some reason Harley Quinn was the most powerful of them, so we had to avoid her at all costs. At one point we'd secured the tank and were close to moving it, but it was too heavy and the Bat-Crane tipped over. We did put it somewhere hard for them to reach tho without getting wet (the shallows of the lake), so we considered that a plus. We headed up the road toward my parents house, and I decided my super hero identity would be The Plastic Bag. I'd have all the powers of a plastic shopping bag. Because there was a slight breeze I was able to float around in the wind, and I saw my biological grandpa in the empty lot next to our house. I was confused, and told him that I thought he was supposed to be dead. He told me that he'd done that alright, and that it actually wasnt as bad or scary as people made it out to be. He walked beside me for a little bit, and he told me that there were many things he would have done differently in life, but that he felt no regret because he'd already lived and felt that regret would only make things worse. I could tell that being dead gave him a perspective that he seemed to have been missing in life. At some point I asked about Catholic teachings, and if they had helped him in the afterlife. He responded with something along the lines of "More or less. Tradition is important for living well, and when you're living well the part that comes after is pleasant." He then turned the nearby hillside into a field of sunflowers, and then I woke up!
When grandma got grandpa up, she told me that Marty had flown into town and was coming by with Taras. We got grandpa ready for the morning, then I went back to the bathroom briefly. When I emerged Marty was there, and he, grandma, and I ate at the table. She said that on Friday she and Marty would visit the funeral home (Which she said she'd hitherto refer to as 'Hodge's'), and I was glad that she had someone who'd take her. After eating a Tara and 2 pieces of toast, I cleaned up as much as I could and then took a nodl nap around 10:15. I woke up at around 12 when Nurse-Marie and Doctor-Burt arrived, then helped grandma show them grandpa's wound. They said it looked really bad, and decided to order a couple of antibiotics (One pill to be crushed and applied directly to the wound, one pill to be taken orally), and also said that we needed to change his bed. At around 1ish they headed out and I took a nodl nap again.
I woke up at 2:33 when Quormaine arrived, and it was good to see him again. He helped get the bed set up while grandma and I put grandpa in his sling. Eventually we got the new inflatable put on the bed, and we cleaned up the area. Grandma gave him a grateful hug and I shook his hand before he headed out. We the got grandpa his pudding and gave him some lunch. I wasn't very hungry so I headed back to my room. At around 4 I did become hungry, so I made a cheeseburger and had some Dorites and a cheesestick with it. After eating I did some chatting and some typing. I saw that I'd gotten a call from Ian around 4:33 (it was in the living room), but he didn't answer when I tried to call back. However at around 4:50ish he did call back, and we chatted for a bit about his chickens and how he thought one of them might've been suffering from egg binding.
At around 5:30 he hung up and I did some more typing. At 6:15 I went to the living room and continued typing, then by 6:45 we got grandpa ready for the night. Grandma seemed super worried about him lying in the new bed, saying that he looked more swollen (Because he wasn't sinking into a hole) and that she'd never be able to sleep on such a bed and just all sorts of worries. I knew getting a new bed would be an issue, and I even warned her that we shouldn't expect miracles within a few days...Yet she was worrying after a couple hours. She said he looked as if he was slouching, and I reminded her that we had physically pulled grandpa further down into the bed after getting him set up there. This seemed to do little to quell her fears.
We did get him ready and after pulling him back he did look more relaxed. Since it was Wednesday, I took the trash and recycling out, though I wasn't hungry. Grandma fed grandpa some pureed bean soup and I was able to nebulize him at 7:43. Oddly enough, there was no mail. I headed back to my room and played craftmines for a bit while watching tubes, then did some typing, but by 9:50ish I felt tired and decided to call it an early night around 10:30.
I hope everyone has a bed-replacement day! <333
