Hey noodle what did you do today?
Well I woke up at 9:30 and after hitting the snooze a couple times, I brushed my teeth and got ready for the day. I headed to the living room at about 10 and grandma made me 2 sausage and egg and cheese sammiches...They were super filling and I almost didn't finish them, but 2 glasses of milk helped me get through it!
Grandma was obviously a little sad, and I felt the same...I am not going to miss the brutal, unrelenting, ridiculous Florida heat, but I will miss her and her house.
I helped her move the G-Man Thad (the statue of a golfer made of golf balls) beneath the lenai's covering, so that she could close him up when she heads to Cincinnati in a month. After cleaning the area and getting him secure (That unrelenting heat!), I spent some time cleaning and packing. I whisked around my room and packed the last items I had, then moved them to the car. I know grandma bragged about the trunk size of the car, but let's just say that I'm glad I gave Tom as much as possible...When all was said and done I almost couldn't see out my side mirror, and looking out the back was out of the question.
I wiped down a few shelves, the windowsill, and vacuumed as best as I could manage, then around 12:20 I headed out to the living room. I grabbed some water and took a seat while she finished her conversation with Uncle Steve. MASH was on. Just after 12:30ish she finished her conversation, and I told her it was time for me to leave.
We hugged, then both of us headed to the garage. I grabbed a peach flavored water for the trip, went to the car, and waved goodbye as I pulled out of her driveway and into the next chapter of my life. I remember arriving there sometime around 5 on that first day in January, and now, at about 1 PM two and a half years later, it was time for me to move on.
I headed down Collier and tried to stop at the 711 to get gas, but all the pumps were filled except 1, and it was blocked in by a truck that had a trailer filled with seadoos. I pulled out and headed North, took San Marco Road East, then stopped at that little ho-dunk gas station. I got some gas, watched as a firetruck and ambulance roared by, then went inside to pee.
After that, I was off. I gave mum and dad a call as I drove off the island and told them I was on my way to Tom's. From there I bounced around radio stations, from a story on NPR about a woman going through terapy for a sexual assault she suffered at age 13, to Rush Limbaugh talking about solar roads, to the last part of November Rain, and eventually I dun even know what...A Mexican station? I felt a little sleepy about an hour and half into the drive, but I barreled on, pulled into Sarasota, got off on Whitfield, then followed that road all the way to my uncle's house.
When I got there I peed, then put two of the containers in his car and rearranged things in mine. I knew I'd need the looking room for when we headed North. Once that was finished I went inside and relaxed on the couch while trying to play craftmines, but I couldn't concentrate and felt drowsy. I headed back to grab a shower around 5ish, then played craftmines in the room for about an hour and a half before heading to sleep. I had a little trouble nodding off due to my nose being constricted, but by 7:30 I had managed.
I slept until about 12, when I went pee and did a little typing and tube watching. I tried going to bed around 1:30, but all I could do was move around in weird positions. I may have had a dream, since I remember a weird sort of image where Spongebob's face was sucked into his body through an arsehole-looking orifice. Strange!
I hope everyone has a moving from grandma's day! <333
