Name: Feyt Luizon
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Species and Race: Mekon, Cat (unknown breed combo, thought to be siamese/american tabby)
Height: 4'8"
Weight: 65 lbs.
Origin: unknown
Current Residence: somewhere in Autenue (see TCForums for more info)
Occupation: back-alley techie
Strengths: she can usually see the good in anyone, seems to be invincible, and can convince anyone that they're better than she is "so they can certainly do anything she can"
Weaknesses: no matter what happens, she truly believes that she's worth crap
Natural abilities: When she's upset or angry at someone for something they did to her, any electrical device she touches will blow up. This does not apply to computers, which only blow up when she's annoyed at THEM.
Hobbies/talents: Fixing the things she blows up, fixing things she didn't break, finding easy solutions, seeing the big picture
Appearance: She looks like the classic grey tabby, complete with scraggly fur and a slightly bent tail. She has the lightest of actual tabby markings, most people thinking it's just the way her fur lays. She is fairly short, and abnormally thin due to malnutrition (not having a steady job or things to eat kinda does that to you). Her eyes are bright yellow and cat-like, and despite her depressing demeanor she's usually surprisingly cheery-looking. Her hair color is striped like her fur, with natural streaks of lighter and darker greys. It's hard to tell what kind of body type she has, as the combination of slightly long fur and her thinness make her look rather exotic. However, she's technically supposed to be of average build.
Attire: She usually has single-faced welding goggles around her neck or on her head, and has three earrings in her left eartip, one in her right. She usually wears a light brown sweater that is probably two sizes too big for her, but fits anyway because of the harness of tools and gizmos she keeps underneath, and wear extremely baggy cargo pants that looks as though they're made of pockets.
Items/weapons: portable welding torch, various elixirs and energy drinks, 3 utility knives, 1 long knife, 8 different sizes of wrenches, 4 screwdrivers (two phillips, two flathead), 3 spools of copper wire, parts to build an entire computer (these are those house-sized monsters in her world), at any given time she has exactly one ham sandwich on her person
Personality: Feyt is really a pleasant young feline to be around, even given the fact that her self-esteem is in the negative range. She has a very child-like demeanor, really, in both her facial expressions, her curiosity, and when learning how something works. She was raised in a strongly religious family, and is probably one of the few people who, despite questioning many of the details, takes all of the moral lessons to heart. This includes God's smiting of sinners. It is not her place to do so, but instead she believes herself to be one of the worst of all and will do anything to help others become better than herself, even going so far as to ridicule herself and make people hate her so that they can move forward, both of which being some of her phobias.
She oftens sticks to herself, and when among people who make fun of her she seems quite happy and seems not to take it to heart at all. However, when she's by herself she will often sink into a conversation with herself, or with one of many imaginary friends that she's kept into adulthood. If anyone ever catches her doing this or staring off into empty space when she's bored, she will quite often withdraw into herself and if made fun of for it, will play along until she's alone once again. She is hesitant to defend herself, or even to tell anyone of her problems, because doing so when she was young often led to rather unpleasant things happening.
History: Feyt was born to a middle-class family in Autenue, one of the few mekon in the area, and the only ones with any interest in technology. Her father was a scientist of reasonable caliber, and was well-known in certain parts of the scientific community, and usually taught Feyt anything she ever asked about his work. Because of him she has her knowledge of how things work, and can often build off of that in extreme ways. Her mother, on the other hand, was a very traditional, religious woman, and Feyt was the only one of her children to take her lessons to heart. After she did so, however, her life went to hell. Any time that Feyt became angry or upset, anything she touched that was electronic would explode in a shower of sparks and minor shrapnel. Feyt herself was miraculously never harmed, but anyone else in the area would be at least mildly scorched.
After a few bouts of confusion and despite anyone's reassurances or suspicions, Feyt finally came to the conclusion that God himself was doing this, in an attempt to tell her that to become upset or to defend herself was wrong. This hurt her quite deeply on a sub-conscious level, but as she continued to grow up she learned that being passive could be just as effective as aggressiveness in many cases. The few cases where it did not work, people made fun of her, picked on her, or pushed her around. Believing that to fight back or be her own person was wrong, she learned to feign carelessness and though she learned how to handle many situations and how to help others with her own experiences, she took all the insults and jokes to heart and slowly became a more and more disfunctional person. Very few people know exactly what's going on in her head at any one time, and given the fact that she thinks in images, sounds, and colors, it's often difficult to put words to her thoughts.
When she fails to answer questions about what she's thinking, people will often get mad at her, shun her, or even make fun of her for it, enforcing her belief that she is abnormal and doesn't belong. When she was 17, she finally had saved up enough side money for herself and packed all of her belongings into a single knapsack and loaded gadgets and gizmos, as well as her many tools, to a harness she'd constructed for herself, and she left home without another word. To this day she believes that her family is better off and happier without her, and the people in her town have a much easier life now that they don't have a freak among them. She wanders wherever she pleases now, never staying put for too terribly long and doing what she can to help town after town before vanishing until no one remembers who she is.
