An illustration of the title character from Kathi Appelt's excellent Newberry winning book 'The True Blue Scouts of Sugarman Swamp' - The Sugarman, guardian spirit of Bayou Tourterelle, and his rattlesnake companion, Gertrude.
"Taller than his cousin Sasquatch. Taller than Barmanou. Way taller than the Yeti [...] You could say that he was made up of bits and pieces of every living creature in the swamp, every duck, fox, lizard, and catfish, every pitcher plant, muskrat and termite."
I tried to make him look a little bit like Totoro's American cousin.
