He was one of the number of kids brought into the army during the conscription after lance became king.

He would have been forced to join the army either way since joining the army has always been a thing the men in his family on his fathers side had always done despite non from the family every doing anything significant as a part of it he was still expected to join.

because of his size he was often bullied and forced to do the remedial or pointless assignments, 2 years after joining he met Matthew Hikari who was a vice commander for the army's battle division before being given leave by the king for 3 years.

Matthew took over the hunters division as commander after beating the former commander lloyd Cromwell in a fight and revealing his deception causing him to go awol. As the new commander he appointed Felix Kenway and Forrest Vermillion as his new vice commanders.

considering nobody would accept these two being in charge they were both challenged for the positions immediatly, but with the help from Matthew they were able to beat their challengers.

over the next year Felix would be trained by jim kenny a retired former commander for the army
