Its amazing how much anxiety and stress a little ball of technology can cause.
Its maddening!
It took 24 hours, give or take a few more days to re-install programs, drivers, everything.
Its a mess. but for now, I have a working machine. *Sets the damn thing on fire*
Fire makes everything better...ugh.
Hoping I can get things sorted out with the last few nuisances, like drivers dropping out and silly things making me crazy...
Then back to commissions. This was a vent/test to see if everything was semi-working. :/

You captured my emotions perfectly. My own computer is way overdue for retirement. I have most things backed up and need only keep up to date on my backups, because it could let go at any moment. I hate it. It's caused me so much pain and misery. It's an embarrassment because I built it myself with parts from the previous computer, only to learn it was cursed. The parts are cursed. I hate it so much that when it dies, I'm going to take it out into the desert and burn it. I don't want it to be useful as anything but a home for lizards and spiders as it rots and rusts away. Yet for some reason, it simply won't die.
