A sad day in the history.

To be honest, combo of cartoon and terract aside... Which is not so odd, remembering some gruesome scenes from the cartoon. But it feels like an anachronism. Cartoon itself is, like, from late 80s or so... Event happens over a decade later. I mean, I guess New York didn't change much visually in that decade, but still... Feels odd seeing them, visually with a same age, in that point in time.
May be there is a confusion here and i have and idea now of why due your comment.
And just to clarify a little: Oliver is a pussy in the movie and here is a older cat, besides, a grown up tabby cat has the length of an adult torso and Jennifer has breast.
And even the clothes are different from the 80's (most of clothes were loose back then).

I guess this is maybe for a Disney character in a tragic event, but if that were the case, it is a common practice to give respect or memory to an event using characters created/born in the area where the disaster occurred.
I've seen about this exact event works with Superman, Kim Possible and others characters from childs and adults.
