"Tags: hospital" -- Was it that bad?

It was deep enough and blead so much I thought it might need a proper cleaning and stiches. They cleaned it and since it was a clean razor cut, they were able to fix it with just medical tape. I live in Canada so it didn't cost me anything either.

Better safe than sorry! It's going to be an annoyance for a while, but at least it should heal up quite well, now that it's been properly treated.

Oddly specific advice but ok, I won't do that.

I shall add one to that - never put a vegetable slicer blade up in a drawer on top of everything else then reach in without looking and grab the first thing you feel.

Never use a home-made flail on something solid, if the chain is long enough to allow the heads to whip back and strike your hand.

I've bled for nearly every fursuit I've made... Super glue is pretty handy for a lot of cuts!

I was told regular home use super glue has toxins that are bad for you. Only medical glue is recomended. Can't seem to find any evidence on-line though

Ow. Forgotten knives and sharp edges are an inevitable disaster. I slashed my thumbnail a quarter inch deep and most of the way across a week ago. Fiberglassed it back together with superglue and toilet paper. It's surprisingly effective, and fashionable as well.

Once had an uncapped razor in a bag, loose, as I was sleeping over at a relative's house... I just kind of chucked all my belongings together and left to go sleep over.

When I got there, I placed the bag on the counter in the bathroom and reached in to grab something, and SLIIIIIIICCCCCCCE. Off went the tip of my thumb.

I'm a hypochondriac so I thought I would die from blood loss, but legit it hurt SO BAD I couldn't believe how badly it hurt. Clean cut too. The amount of blood was nuts to be honest.

I'm still dealing with a finger infection after two months... So I can flip people off with a nasty looking fingernail 😂 At least it's not my drawing hand!

I can beat that. Don't click if you're easily squicked. The result of being attacked with a heavy steel door.

Ouch been there and done that myself tho I sliced my thumb with a kitchen knife trying to put a safety cover on it 😭

always slide the blade back inside the handle, or get the home invasion robbers to find your stash of thousand dollar bills underneath the pile of furs on the table! It should heal in about a week but will be sore for about a month. get a plastic sheath cover over it, or some mold making compound to dry on it, so you don't jab it into something. get well

Did that once with a miniature razor blade when I was a kid. For the first couple of seconds I was amazed that it wasn't bleeding then suddenly OMFG THAT'S A LOT OF BLOOD!
