A final view of the park.

From here, I went back to the hotel, took a hot shower (oh yeah, that scrape really liked the hot water and soap - no it didn't), and laid down and relaxed for a bit before getting dressed for dinner.

A few online acquaintances from Wonkette had insisted that I meet up with them while in the city, so I walked (again!) the three blocks along the Embarcadero to the Hyatt Regency's Eclipse Bar. I dressed completely appropriately in a pair of long trousers as the temperature was finally making itself felt, and my loud yellow floral shirt.

We've seen that shirt before. I was the loudest object in the room, and never raised my voice.

I had a smoked brisket banh my and a gin and tonic for dinner, then met with my fellow toilers of the Wonketariat and spent several hours drinking and talking. Jokes and bad puns were exchanged, and after a few hours we all packed it in. I went back to my hotel, and got a good night's sleep thanks to my exhaustion.
