It was a distraction they needed. As the demon shook Storm off, Takel finished tracing the magical pattern. He had managed to reconstruct the original spell-circuit that had kept the demon bound beneath the earth, only to awaken once more when a construction project accidentally damaged the seal and grounded the circle.
