There is a scene vaguely like this in my 1000+ pg fan-fic. The hero, having just fallen afoul of the Queen of Hearts ( a VERY easy thing to do), is sentenced to be beheaded. After a chapter involving him and the odd actions of what a correspondent called a "Weird Man" , he is taken to the headsman and decapitated.

He then calls to his body to guide it to taking him (his head is talking) and walking off with it. He puts it on at a safe place. The sight of all this causes the necrovoyeurs to go MAD ! And that savage queen has her hands full, trying to restore order ! What follows are visits to the original aboriginal nonhuman inhabitants of Wonderland, two new friends (Roget the Thesaurus and his adversary Sir Wallop - Flump the Privy Seal,) as well the undead Queen of Clubs, and then the peoples of Lookinglassland.

I think the idea of the body chasing the head has been used pretty closely to any story where the persons head can be detached. the one i usually hear about is the disney Cartoon Aladdin series. where his head is separated.

WHERE in Alladin is his head separated from his body ? I don't recall any such scene.
