Like I said I trust his overall judgement. I just feel that he's showing himself to be everything Jinjur called him out on and really just as bad as her. There's merit to their methods, just I don't feel he's more morally correct than Jinjur. Both are just using Kathy as a pawn for their own power struggles.
I mean at this point Vyschuss might even be able to give Kathy a leg up dueling Jinjur.
She could know weaknesses or even combat strategies. Or could possibly be convinced to pass along something to get her sick.
Really Vyschuss isn't a bad point, and better treatment alone isn't the WORST temptation. I'm reminded of the character from thw Underdog movie who said, and I quote, "because my partner said he'd fire me if I didn't".

Fred's concern is that, if Kathy makes Vyschuss one of her inner circle--which is what the Vorthies are--she would not only be stuck with this boorish brute for the rest of Vyschuss's life, but she would have an unreliable person close to her. And along with Vyschuss would come her clan--her ambitious mother who would try to influence Kathy topping the list. Vyschuss's mother, Vypa, is not royal, but she wants to live the royal lifestyle, having been the bodyguard to a prince (Vyschuss's father.)
