Finally finding some time to get back to work on the Skinny / Scrawny Skunk Girl painting ( I work on it inbetween commissions ).
Just showing you all a little sneaky peek!
Trying something with the colors of her eyes, kind of comparing against real eyes.
OpenCanvas is behaving tonight ( knock on wood ), so I'm able to work on details and the such. And it's true what other say... if you get sick of working on a piece, and don't feel happy on it, if you can, put it down for a while, and work on it again at another time.
I WAS going to repaint her tail, as I wasn't happy with the way it looked a few weeks ago when I started painting the details in the tail fur. But looking at it again tonight, I found a way to make it work and actually look good.
Just have the hair, jewelry, clothing, and the shading on the plaid pieces to go, fit her back over her background coloring ( had to paint her separate from her background, as the file was too big for OpenCanvas to handle. It made OpenCanvas cry blood to paint her AND have the background in there ).
I'll continue working on her until the baits for my next custom commission arrive in the mail.
I plan on having this finished and available as prints and posters to sell at AnimeNEXT 2010. And if all goes well, I will also be working on a duoshade version as well.
