This is the Khieu Hoang Vineyards, our next stop and where we had lunch (provided in the cost of the wine tour).
Mr. Hoang is a Vietnamese gentleman who, while doing research into the molecular structure of grapes, got it into his head to start making wine (the labels on the bottles sport artwork of molecules found in grape skins and such). The wines are sold online, but the only restaurants you'll find them in are in California.
Again, two white and two red were sampled. The Pinot offered was okay.
The picnic lunch consisted of sandwiches (turkey or ham on focaccia bread, with cheese and condiments) along with quinoa salad and red lentil salad. Fruit and small cakes were offered for dessert.
A very pleasant hour was spent there, on the rear veranda of the building, taking in the scenery and the breeze. The weather had warmed up enough that I regretted wearing long pants - the sweater had been ditched in the bus before we reached the first stop).
