As a special theme for October, I brought each of my previous YCH's "Back from the Grave" to be drawn one last time, each of them transformed into their dark counterparts. The commissioners don't know exactly what I'll be doing with their pieces until they see them, and each one could be Gothic, spooky, or Unseelie, whatever feels most fitting. Once these are done, the bases are officially retired and won't be brought back again, so this is one last chance to see them!

This base was from August's YCH "The Dragon's Favorite Gem", and it's dark version features none other than the original Mother of Dragons herself, Maleficent, played here by 's Karma. It would have been easy to just make the gem for this one a black diamond and call it a day, but I wanted to have a bit more fun with it and the concept of turning her into Maleficent was just too perfect to pass up. Aside from Ursula, she is probably my favorite Disney villain!

I will be doing these all month long, so enjoy the show and I hope it gets you hyped for Halloween! ^_^
