I have nowhere else to go but
I cannot stay where I don't belong
Here in the shadows
I'm safe, I'm free
I have nowhere else to go but
I cannot stay here -
Show me the shadow where true meaning lies...

As part of my Crit Meme (http://wolf-in-the-walls.deviantart.....rnal/29899426/ Do it please if you haven't done it), my friend informed me that she wanted to see more of Okami.
Well, here she is.
Where to start on this picture...
It started out as an experiment, and one I think I'm happy with. I can convey a lot more emotion with this than just flat colors.
The song is "Exodus" by Evanescence (one of their older ones, recommend it), captured the feel of this greatly.
The rose at the top (I know it doesn't look like one) has ripples around it, like it was dropped in a puddle. I added it at the last minute, and I like it, now that I look at it. It's a bit of imagery from the Adolescence of Utena (specifically, the dance scene found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72e0s4pxDG0), a symbol of love and the reflection.
Which part of her is real, and is any of this real...
Regardless, Okami remains in a delicate, problematic spot. All she wanted was to feel again.
And now she feels nothing.
