When I first read over Faux's pages, I thought it was just any other mission with any other weird stuff added.
Never woulda' guessed the plot would revolve 'round 'em. c:

You know, I actually had given some thought just the other day as to how Faux and Fuxie could've made for quite a pair. Considering as both have a visual impairment, they would not only be able to relate to one another, but also motivate each other to overcome their situation through continually finding ways to raise the bar. Society may have set a standard, but neither would accept a limit they knew the other was dilegently working to overcome first.

This in mind, I can't help but note how making Fuxie and Faux friendly rivals in such a way really makes for a deep plot point. It also gives room for either you, or us, to really imagine how each had felt before, during, and after that faithful day in Faux's shop back in Azure.

My mind can't help but immediately go from how Fuxie must've felt about her victory against Faux up until the adreneline ran dry. At which point, a most horrifying sensation must've coursed through her mind upon realizing that, by her own hands, she had eliminated the single individual to whom she genuinely respected and could always fall back on for re-assurance that there was a plateau higher to reach than the one she was currently at. With nothing but anger left to fill the void, it surprises me not that she would gradually start to fall apart from the inside one mission at a time.

I hope I'm not reading into things too much, but I really got quite into how how things came together. Perhaps it is because, to a degree, I can genuinely relate to some of the concepts I feel are being presented between Faux and Fuxie's relationship. :)

You're not reading into it too much at all. X3 I had all those things going through my mind when I was putting things together too. After I finished writing this all out, I realized I ended up not mentioning or doing as much with the two of them as I thought! I remember telling you that I didn't really understand Fuxie that well, so maybe I tried not to be too controlling, because I didn't want to get her character wrong. I almost had her called out as "Fuxie Farewell" as some point, or have Faux mention they were a perfect match for each other in the way that you mentioned. It was definitely on my mind, so I just left a mention of there being a "confusion" between the two before she disappeared, so there's room for more possible story between them. :3

I think I'll have to be careful when I make the additional pages for the Avis-Faux mission for these sort of reasons too. X3

Anyway, I think you understand exactly what I was trying to present. (: Maybe even more than I do!

Sometimes, I kind of dread commenting after Yosheo because he says everything I could have said, except with more insight and prettier words.

Okay, so now in addition to my fan-flash ideas, I just spent 5 minutes trying out various dramatic readings of Faux monologue from beyond the grave, delievered in a raspy whisper, kind of like he's almost whispering this in the recumbent Cooni's ear as he makes the slow drift towards consciousness. Powerful stuff.
