So yeah.

9 seasons, and it ends, it’s odd, this day seemed so far away and yet it’s here, it’s today. It’s now.
What can I say? I joined during the fourth season. For me, Twilight always had her wings, when I caught up, she already was that Alicorn princess people were ranting about.
I can’t believe five years have already passed since that day I just thought “Fuck it, I’m giving this show another chance, I want to understand what all that hype is about” and well, I wasn’t disapointed. It took me many tries to get hooked at first, and by hooked, I mean “Finishing the two first episodes”

My Little Pony, that show… helped me in some ways. It didn’t save my life, it didn’t get me out of my depression, but it made me pick up my pencils again, after I gave them up 5 years prior that. And art helped me to get the strength to start fixing my life.

It’s hard to explain, and it’ll leave a hole, but the fandom definitely will live on and I’ll continue the road with you.
This show for little girls has brought me some comfort in a life I didn’t really want to live, it helped me to see that it’s never too late to meet new people, and you can still create friendships even if you’re a young adult.

I could relate to Twilight in many ways, She grew up through the seasons as I also tried to change my shitty elitist mindset, There’s still work to do, but change happened.

I’m thankful it exists
I’m glad the fandom is here
I’m happy it’ll live on.
