Odd had decided to take a vacation and spend the prime days of fall, where the leaves were golden, the air cool and crisp yet not unbearably cold, and the view gorgeous, in a country home hidden among the pine. This morning she had gotten up early and got herself a hot apple cider before the dawn broke, then opened a large window that swung outside and sat on the ledge, watching the purple-black night sky littered with stars turn into a golden and pink sunrise. By the time the gold resided and the sky was a soft, vibrant blue and the distant mountains pink she'd look back to the still sleeping figure in the bed with a gentle smile. Finishing her mug, she'd hop back in, leave the window open so it's crisp wind could brush against the long cheek fur of her companion, and retreat to the kitchen to wash her cup and get ready for the day.
