Unlike most of her species, Meliyah was blessed with near-perfect eyesight since birth. However, she one day got into an accident which caused her left eye to be damaged. While she didn't completely loose vision on it, she still wears an eyepatch to not wear it down. Indeed, her squinting her left eye is enough to give just about anyone the chills.
