I've been down that road before and I feel for ya Feretta. Drink plenty of fluids and something that really helped me (two things actually) was some chicken or beef bullion (I prefer chicken) and either Gatorade or Powerade to help keep your electrolytes up.
Really hope you get feeling better!!

Oh shit Fer
I hope you feel better soon!
Its best to just let it run its course and get out of your system, in the meantime drink lots of fluids and if you have to freeze some water or gatorade/ something with electrolytes to keep your strength up!
Hope your job isnt falling too much apart without you too XD

Could be worse as my last attack of it had me holding the bucket while sitting on the toilet, guts would tense up and both ends told me just how bad it was! (guts and rib-cage was sore for days after like I'd been the loser to a fight.)
Oh well, at least we didn't end up in the hospital over it!

Ye gods, that reminds me of the one time I got food poisoning, but I was far from alone in my misery. It was during my last deployment during active duty back in '08 (US Navy). Dinner one night was steak and crab. Being a red meat kinda guy, I obviously went with the steak, but the choice wouldn't have mattered. Or it could've been something else that was served, noone was ever sure.
But *something* served in that dinner was bad and almost the ENTIRE ship's crew got food poisoning, and the crew size for frigates (the ship I was on, good 'ole FFG-29) was over 200 people. Life for the next few days for the entire crew was a living hell, even those that somehow didn't get sick. I remember sometime during the night of the second night waking up with an urgent need to, err, cleanse my guts from both ends. Thankfully, I had the bottom rack (bed), so I just rolled over and fell the 10 inches or so to the floor and quickly crawled my way to the head (bathroom). I got to the door and met our HTC (Hull maintenance Technician, Chief Petty Officer), who was sleeping in the chiefs' overflow berthing, but was currently on his hands and knees like me. In hindsight, it's its pretty funny, but we both met at the door, just kinda gave each other a weak nod, then went to our own respective stalls to "purge the demons".
Extremely unpleasant at the time to say the least, but it always gives me a little chuckle thinking back to that particular moment.

A ship is the WORST place to be. Like on an airplane when someone gets sick, only you have no where to run and it's so much longer! I was just on a ferry boat when I was but a boyscout and I felt suddenly seasick. Everybody got seasick. I ran to the nearest bathroom and heard laughter. Inside, it was moderately messy, but I still purged into the nearest toilet, cleaned up, then went outside. Only then did I discover why my fellows were laughing. I'd run into the women's bathroom. I went into the men's bathroom next time I felt ill... then went right back out and into the women's again. Pride be damned, when the ENTIRE bathroom is covered in sick. Many years later and I still remember the experience. >.<
Ohhhh God that reminded me of that one time in elementary/middle school at the cafeteria years ago the whole school been food poisoned by a terribly expired rice (it got roaches in it I kid you not) cuz supplies was short at the time. Thank God I had bought a pizza at the neighborhood pizzeria restaurant that was right next to our school. My big sister and I dodge a bullet on that one. Everyone else in not so much.

I know you'll probably end up just chucking it back out again, but try to keep yourself hydrated as best as you can. I got food poisoning before and it was so bad that I ended up landed in a hospital at 1am with an IV in one arm and a sedative in the other because I was freaking out. If you dehydrate out too far, you'll likely need to go to a doc and get one of those 'Gatorade bags' put in ya. Food poisoning sucks hardcore. Your whole body goes into overdrive, then shutdown as it tries to process that junk out of you.
Hope you don't have to go to the docs and your immune system kicks its ass, but wishing you a speedy recovery. If you do go to the hospital, you can always sue the place to make them pay for the visit XD Get them big spending dollar bills hahah. But seriously, get well soon.

I had the same thing happen to me. I had it bad enough that I needed the IV and even then, I kept staggering to the bathroom because once the upper system purged, the lower system kept purging. >.< It royally sucked. Still, better to have something to throw up than be just dry heaving. That was really horrible.
If in America, you could just report the restaurant you got food poisoning at to your local health department/agency to prevent others from getting sick as well. If it was a restaurant that is.
Anyways, hope you get well soon. And make sure to drink lots of water and stay hydrated.
