No, I don't like bananas! In fact I hate them! Why does everybody assume just because you are an ape or monkey you like them? Except for orangutangs there are no major apes and monkeys living where bananas are native too. Give me some oranges or such, and I'd be a much happier man...monkey...whatever.
How I ended up as a monkey you ask? Oh well, this time it was not much of a choice of myself.
You know that more and more zoos have now walk-in exhibits, where there is at best a wide ditch between you and the animals or you walk through the enclosure via a bridge and such, that you can see all the animals in a more natural environment?
Well, let's say I was not too cautious when going to such a place, as you can see here. Leaning over a bit too much and whoops I fell into jungle below. I am surprised nobody of the staff even noticed, seems I was in a blind spot. But damn, I really didn't want to admit to them how careless I was, or in fact be seen by others that I feel in.
Yeah, don't gimme that look. Despite being a dragon and sometimes human, or the other way around, I can be pretty damn shy in such situations. So I wanted to avoid that situation at any cost, you know.
And it seems my pendant picked up that wish pretty fast, because before I knew it, I had that itchy feeling of fur growing all over me, and I can tell you it was waaaaay faster than normal. I barely had time to hide in a bush as I was allready shrinking to my new form, stumbling over my now way too large pants, them being pushed down by my new tail. That damn bugger grew out like a tensed up coil, I tell you. Barely had I had a tailsplosion that fast.
It was so damn weird though, changing into a form that is so damn similar to a human form, yet at the same time so alien as well, this makes it kinda...double alien. Especially the fact that my big toes were suddenly like thumbs, I felt like walking on my hands, with my feet.
So yeah, there I was, hiding in the bushes, a monkey with auburn fur and some blue accents all over myself, waiting for darkness to fall so I could turn into something else and fly out of here without being seen.
Well, that was the initial plan, because pretty fast I was found by the other inhabitants of that enclosure. Not that they were unfriendly or anything, quite the oppoite. Really curious and eager to get to know me. And I would have played along if not one of them would have snubbed my human belongings, glasses, smartphone, they just took it and jumped off into the greenery around us. I tell you, I surely were chasing after them for hours, yelling my monkey-lung out of myself in frustration, trying to get my stuff back.
Seriously, watch out where you step folks. Chasing monkey as a monkey is not as fun as it sounds. Even now that I am transformed back, my muscles are so damn sore!
