...I've been trying the Pentel brush-pens that are finally available over here at my local art supply store. The felt-tip type ones I think don't work quite as well. Once you get the feel for spontaneous line-weight, you'll never want to touch a technical pen again other than for machines... harder to control means you're learning.
And, yes, I do like your cat pictures because they are exactly what my cats say to me every day. Such conversationalists!
