Will eventually be moved to scraps
A sketch I finished and inked a few weeks ago. Been playing with redesigning the Space Fleet uniforms in the Hearth Star universe for a number of reasons and finally got around to scanning the results. Still probably need to make a few more drafts (to say nothing of work on my technique) but this one still gets the general idea across.
What remains unchanged:
- Uniform is still an elastic black body/jumpsuit with matching boots and gloves.
- Uniform still has the same colored highlights on the collar, lips of the gloves, lips of the boots, and the shoulders (commissioned officers only) to designate specializations.
- Uniform still has the same badge/name tag combination worn over the right breast.
What has changed:
- Pockets! Yes, the uniforms have pockets now!
- Belts! The uniform now comes with an elastic belt for holding pouches (which in turn hold additional stuff) and have a belt buckle molded in the shape of the Space Fleet insignia. Not sure yet if the belt will be black or have the same color rules as the highlights.
