Sometimes, when he's not finding many agreeable jobs as a mercenary, he decides to take fortune into his own hands. Or rather, take other peoples' fortunes into his own hands. Space piracy is quite lucrative, especially if you don't get caught!

I really had fun designing the outfit, and yeah, Karnage's coat was a *huge* influence on the direction I took it. The sash and ascot really conveyed a good sense of both roguishness and class for that sort of romanticized pirate vibe.
Both of them are named Furlock O'Donnell. They're just different versions of the same character idea, if that makes sense. Alternate timelines/realities.
As for his vehicle to be space pirate captain, he'd definitely have some kinda cool, big ship to roam around and plunder the stars with. Nothing TOO big, but for sure larger than just a fighter craft like he has as a mercenary. He's not picky about what he loots, just as long isn't anything too unsavory (trafficking people, sex slaves, weapons to terrorists, etc.)
As for presents for Dad and Papa, you bet he brings them goodies every now and again. I like to think that they're both still around together, maybe mentoring the next generation of mercs and pirates... if they can be found!

Oh my god, a cyberpunk-esque Iron Vulture would look SO COOL!
And thank you so much! I grew up always having my heart get stolen by the bad guys (whether it was queercoding or just having the hots for big bad animal guys :V), so I feel like I've subconsciously picked up on the subtle intricacies of villains, antiheroes, and antagonists. They're a lot of fun to work with!

Oooooh, that's a real conundrum! Man, you really do pose the best questions. <3
I definitely think he'd do something about the more unsavory types, even if he wasn't getting paid. Some things are worth more than money, as they say.
Ooooh, I think on reading your reply again, I had a fun idea. He wouldn't be getting paid to do anything about it... but if he sold the information to the authorities, he might reap some sizeable reward money for the tip-off!
If that wasn't an option, he'd do what they were asking him to do. Then, at the end of the job, after he'd collected payment, he'd backstab the lot of 'em and undo their plans. I really like the idea of doing bad things for money, getting paid, then undoing everything you just did. That way the organization is out time AND money!
