Richard was practicing his archery skills when he got the message. It was a distress Demi-Muse. Their primary task is to make sure their assigned location remains safe and if they cannot is to call for help. This Demi-Muse however was damaged and as such the message was jumbled. He was able to figure out where it came from but he had no idea what caused it to go off. Without wasting any more time he took off to the skies.

When Richard got to the castle it was in ruins. Whatever caused the distress Demi-Muse to go off was long gone. What got to Richard though wasn't that the castle was in ruins but that there was no signs of life. Where was everyone? A castle this size would at least have someone around but there was nothing. He looked out into the sunset wondering this question.

Whatever had caused this was clearly long gone now but it would return one day. He needed to be ready for it.

Richard has answered a distress call but has found that he was too late. Something destructive had caused this.
