My Dungeons and Dragons DM liked the last one so I made a species for our Dungeons and dragons campaign. The species is named Kurrorra and this is the jungle variant.
Living in a different habitat has caused them to develop different traits compared to the desert variant. They have very few predators and as a result they come in a variety of bright colours. These are a form of sexual selection, females going for more brightly coloured males. Dull fur colours are a sign of either poor genetics or poor health.
The jungle variant has also developed a prehensile tail, making them right at home in the canopy of trees. Unlike the strictly carnivorous desert version, they are omnivorous, often preferring fruits and supplementing their diet with meat as neccessary.
As a form of defense, they puff up their fur to look bigger and hiss and screech.
Taxonomy wise I've only managed to come up with the order which is Dasyuromorphia which most carnivorous marsupials fall under.

This picture is just an example and I'll draw better ones as time goes on.
