It was raining when the Sweetypie therapist Ol’ Blue comes across a little kitten sitting out in the rain all alone. He starts by sheltering the poor kid from the rain and then invites him back to his home where he allows the kid to stay as long as he likes until his parents are found.
(Blue could have either found the kitten in Pure Heart Valley or in a far away place while on vacation…)
Turns out, the child’s name is Mao Mao, and he ended up outside, not just in the rain, when his dad told him to wait there for a little while until he came back. Blue finds the revelation quite disquieting, so he gets to work searching for Mao Mao’s dad (by phone, Internet, papers, etc…) while looking after the kitten’s every need and want. For starters, he’ll need to find a way to get little Mao Mao to stop blowing bubbles in every drink he gives him.
“That’s not strictly a dad-thing to do,” he reminds himself constantly…
