So for this one this is more a chapter of world building. But it's necessary to understand the stuff that will happen later on.

Time of Ninjas
Settling In
Meanwhile Nicholas and the other males had been taken to the guesting area in this village. It was on a bit of a higher area so the rooms this had had balcony areas that showed a great view of the village and nearby area. The guy even saw some of the rivers nearby where fish could be caught for the clan. The long-haired male saw his choice was great like all of them. “It’s all for those who stay with us,” one of the females who showed the group of males explained. “Only the best for males and females.”
Nicholas then set down his weapons and other things he had brought in good spaces. He walked out to the balcony area and looked out around the Moonshade Clan village. The guy remembered the times he had visited this place when he was younger. The earliest was when he’d been five. The male could still remember talking to his parents about the reason for going for the first time. “Why mom?” he asked a vixen who looked so much like him.
“Because son it’s important for our clans,” his father, a husky, then answered before she could. Nicholas was actually a hybrid for having two different kinds of parents. In his case, he was a fosky. “It’s what our leader wishes to help both groups.”
Nicholas was too young to learn why but as he got older the fosky would. The Guardian clan for generations of males and females forged a name for themselves in the world of ninjas. One of the reasons was the powers they had. Besides the standard uses of stealth, combat, spying, assignation, and sabotage, this clan was unique in that they could actually manipulate what was known as the five mythical elements; fire, water, wind, earth, and lighting. It was to be noted these couldn’t be combined together at all. They could only exist individually. But what one could do was use say a fire technique and then do a water one for the next one. This had been discovered on how to do long ago but nobody was sure how this clan was able to do it. Some said it was the gods that bestowed the power onto them. Others said it was due to where the clan lived. While the Guardian group of ninjas did have history written down about notable figures in their long history and other things, there were records with these two stories and a couple of others. Nobody knew what was true. What was known was that at around the age of six, this power began to manifest in a member. There he or she would begin to be taught how to harness and control their power. Now some did grow up and become rouge, causing havoc. But most turned out good, strong, and true. It was to be noted many as they became teens learned to control a second element. While not everyone got the same element or elements, certain characters could determine what elements one would have. Having three was the rarest and the most one in the clan could. The current leader of the Guardian Clan himself was one of those rare cases but many great ones had the ability to control two and had been just as grand if not more. And of course everyone who had these powers in the clan had them at different strengths. The leaders were considered to be the strongest and wisest and only those who had these qualities and others even had a shot at becoming the next leader.
This clan of elemental wielding ninjas were also unique in that they were very open to the idea to others and working together as long as they posed no ill-will to the Guardian Clan. That was why these ninja were often sought out for jobs and help. However, others learned quickly to never cross them as while friendly, these ninja would fight against others who betrayed them with strength and speed. Underestimating them wasn’t wise like it was for Sky’s clan. Things were different for the felines who consisted of that group. Only females were a part of it and in that family of animals. How it grew was either finding other female felines to join or finding young ones who had no parents from babies to kits and taking them in. Another way was some found husbands outside to have families. The females who married would come back and forth with their daughters to learn the way of the Moonshade Clan. If their husbands died, they would live with this group assuming they had no sons or the males could live on their own. The mothers would see them of course but the sons wouldn’t be allowed inside, as it was for other males. So only outside females who wished to do business, deliver messages, or seek alliances could enter. If it was a male, they would have to wait outside the front gate. As such, these female felines had not only learned the usual ninja skills like the Guardians, but also the power of seduction as well. Many actually had the power of alluring pheromone. It could be done by a mist or touch. Another thing that made these female unique was their druid like magic. This ranged in different abilities. Again while this had been learned how to do long ago, nobody knew how this clan got these powers. There were stories that said the area the felines live at caused, or that the gods granted them it. The Moonshade clan of ninjas also had their history written down about notable figures in their long history and other things, and there were records with these two stories and a few others. Nobody knew what was true. What was known was that at around the age of five, these power began to manifest in a member. For those not born of one of the clan members, it was different. A baby or a kit before the age of five would have it awaken unless it was within days of turning that age. Then it would happen at the age of six. For those older it took two years before any signs of powers began to make itself known. Regardless, all were taught on how to use these powers well. Like with the Guardian Clan there were records of those that went bad but most turned out to be good. And so these female felines forged a name for themselves in the ninja world like the other group of ninjas.
While the two clans were aware of each other, they never worked together at all or fought. That all changed 200 years before Sky and Nicholas were born. Some of Sky’s clan members in the past had been attacked by other rogue ninja and enemies. Then out of nowhere, some past Guardian Clan members came out to help them. A couple of the females thought the help wasn’t needed, but many were thankful as it could’ve meant their deaths. Well these instances of running into the other and helping continued slowly and surely and increased. Then a hundred years later, the past clan leaders of the Guardian and Moonshade Clan met in a grove with some of their best ninjas. The two groups knew of this because of the record that had been made. In fact Mei, the current leader of the feline ninja, was actually the granddaughter of the past leader who had met with the Guardian one in the past. So the tigeress knew how important the alliance between these two group was. It had been formed in that gathering and so the two group began to work together, exchanging items, and knowledge. While not all secrets were shared, stuff that was just better to know for common knowledge of an individual, certain plants, and wildlife. One interesting thing in the knowledge exchanged was about the anatomy of both the male and female bodies that the two groups had found out. From when the young ones began to hit the age when their bodies would change and begin to mature physically into grown adults. The females got it sooner than the boys but eventually the latter caught up. Another was that at certain times of the month, the females would become very fertile. Dubbed as being in heat due to the hot bothered area, the wetness, and smell, it happened once a month, but at different points for every female. It would slowly build up for two to three days before being in full force for three to four days. After that, it would go away. But the clans learned that eating a specific combination of herbs helped by getting rid of the smell, wetness, and uncomfortable heat. But it wouldn’t stop the females from getting pregnant. And being ninja they were very well of their own individual cycles. But this didn’t last forever as at a certain age, the heats would stop for the females and they can no longer have any children.
As for the alliance between the clans, the friendships and bonds only grew. Some of the felines even found love in the Guardian Clan, a few even leaving to be with their husbands. Then 50 years later, the first males from the Guardian Clan were allowed to set foot in the Moonshade Clan area, but only the most well-mannered ones were allowed. It was where the greeting ritual had been formed that Nicholas and his group along with the females in the first ninja clan would perform where they had arrived. In fact, the fosky’s father had been one of the earliest groups to set foot in here himself but not a part of the very first one. For now small groups of 15 were allowed in. And every visit proved to be successful. This whole history had been recorded so neither clan would forget. So now the current clan leaders figured that this group would be the first to not only visit but to do missions together with each other; the harder kind neither could do on their own. If this worked, it would be another big step in the alliance working. Some even talked about the two clans combining to form one big one. But right now, that was just an idea. When it came to children visiting, males and females, that was a different story as both genders were allowed in with no problem as the females in Sky’s clan had no problem with them. And that was how Sky and Nicholas would meet when they were kids.
For the fosky, he had parents, but the Russian Blue didn’t. Sky had been found as a tiny newborn kit with no parents in sight. She was brought before Mei. The tigeress took the young feline in, raising her as though Sky was one of her own. For that, the Russian Blue was thankful and would always view the older female as her mother and loved her like one. But that still raised the question of who her parents were. Somehow Sky always had the feeling Mei wasn’t her real mother. But even when the tigeress told the feline it had still come as a little bit of shock. The basket and blanket that Sky had been found in was shown to the feline. But these hadn’t been any help with locating her parents. The feline had tried to locate them but had no luck so far. This hadn’t changed the relationship between Sky and Mei. But the feline still wondered where she had come from and wondered why the mother who gave birth to her and the father would abandon her. Mei didn’t have the answered but assured the feline that seeing the Russian Blue so swaddled up with love and care meant that Sky must have been very loved. Still, the feline hadn’t given up yet to find out her heritage. So in the meantime she grew under Mei’s wing until she had grown into the ninja she was today. Of course it hadn’t been all fun.
This was due to when Sky had been five she met Nicholas when he was six. Like she had told Yuki, the fosky picked on her. It wasn’t a mean way, but the kind a boy does to a girl he likes. But this made the feline hate the male and complain to Mei. But the tigeress just giggled, seeing why the fosky was doing this and just told Sky the little male would grow out of it. But this never seemed to happen. It was during these moments that Sky tried to get the male because her powers had begun to manifest. These were the earth kind, different than what the Guardian Clan used, controlling plants and vines, restoring plant life, and a small ability for light breathing underwater that lasted for some minutes. The alluring pheromone power wouldn’t come until her early teens and this was done by touch. But two more powers would awaken in Sky in her early years; that of slight dark magic and a little necromancy. But as she got older those two were only used when absolutely needed. However, none of this phased Nicholas who always got the upper hand with his emerging powers of wind. Later he would get water as a second power.
The fosky would visit a few more times until the last one when he was 12. Then the guy hadn’t been seen until this day when he returned when Sky was 22 which made the long-haired one 23. However another to help Sky deal with him was Yuki. She and the first feline had met when they were little. A bond had formed right away and the two still remained the best of friends. After Nicholas left for the last time, Sky focused on her training and grew strong. The Russian Blue had also grown to be dedicated, had a kind side for the ones she care about, the members of her clan, and even the little ones. Nicholas was like that as well but that wouldn’t have matter to the feline. At her place, she was still fuming over his appearance here after so many years while on her bed. Sky wasn’t happy about this at all. “Seriously, I don’t know why he’s here,” she growled.
Nicholas at the guest place was just thinking back to when he’d seen Sky since the last time all those years ago. He saw how much she had changed and how beautiful she had become despite the cute amount of chubbiness the feline had and even the mask she wore which hadn’t been there during his last visit. If there was one thing the fosky wished was that he could have changed it was his actions when he’d been little and picking on her. Now the only thing the guy could do was somehow make it up to Sky for that and as a way to apologize for that. “Well… hopefully something will come up,” he said. Then everyone in the village got word that it was time for dinner since the sun had already begun to set. So now that plan Nicholas had in mind could hopefully begin.
