He's quiet and intelligent and prefers not to solve problems with violence, though he's very capable of doing so. His booming baritone isn't heard often but it's a voice that commands respect.
He's serious and very dedicated to his kingdom, focusing on his duty at all times. Rigel answers only to his king and queen.
He doesn't care for humans but he has to maintain good relations so they can continue to live in the ocean relatively undisturbed. He sees humans as inconsiderate, frivolous and wasteful beings with immature ideas of the world.
It's easy to annoy him but difficult to make him actually angry. He only seems to get angry with people who fail to respect the ocean and its denizens. On the rare occasion he does get angry, it's hard to control him and his fiery emotions.
Rigel is well mannered and prides himself in being a proper gentleman of the sea, though he can be a little too prideful. He may get lost in his own head and think himself to be above others.
