It was no secret to those within the community of magic wielders that there was some serious, heated rivalry going on between Margo, Sanguine Sisterhood's Interrogator, and Adrian, warlock-for-hire who would often butt heads with her due to her abuse of authority to bully his close friend and colleague, Elle.
However, what very few knew was that underneath all that vitriol, bickering and constant attempts to outsmart one another, there was also quite a degree of attraction between them. On few occasions that they weren't at war with each other, the two would find some isolated spot to share an intimate moment together, which would herald a temporary truce until next time Margo abuses her authority for some nefarious deed, or to continue pestering Adrian's friends.
While Elle is grateful that Adrian is doing what he can to protect her from Margo's schemes, she is less than pleased with her friend's choice in women. All he has to say in his defense is "I'm a sucker for bad girls."
