It sure does exist! Guardians of the Galaxy by Stern Pinball. It's pretty decent, too. Easy for a novice to get into. Though I do find the character select a bit overwealming. Quill's a good one for a novice to pick, IMHO.
As far as modern Stern games go, I'm a bigger fan of the Ghostbusters pinball, which, although released in 2016, is thankfully lovingly based on the real 1980s movies everyone loved. It's nice and hard, but the good kind of hard that makes you want to keep coming back for more.
EDIT: And if you're wondering where you can actually play a real Guardians of the Galaxy, either look for a local arcade convention or, more conveniently, http://www.pinballmap.com is a great resource for finding any and all local games in your area.

I do the same with arcade games/boards, which I own many of.
I've helped on a couple pinballs, old and new, but I don't own any (yet). I've had to turn down some very sweet and tempting offers.
Everything worthwhile is expensive to maintain.
But given that most good condition pinballs are worth 4 figures and the most beloved pinballs today are easily 5 figures, they tend to be worthwhile no matter how you look at them.
