If he's a cat person, why not just reverse the polarity and then mutate the genes in a different way so he becomes a cat Pokemon. Then again, Arcanine is based on those statues that are dog/lion/tiger things, so he shouldn't be to worried. Besides, if he's so sad, he can use Extreme Speed and run away from all of the problems he faces. Then again, running away from your problems is bad.
