Diplomatic relations (by Nzuri)
Summer is still in the air, and the garden inside the walls is more lush than ever. The morning seems to start in the best way for Prince Borgon, who after having settled his morning routine, is ready to receive the visit of another of his peers.
After Queen Chelle, of the distant lands of Soleil, had fallen ill, Princess Nicole had taken the reins of some royal responsabilities, dealing firsthand with maintaining good relations with neighboring kingdoms, through diplomatic journeys.
One of these had taken her to the lands of Prince Borgon, among the silent hills and the lush woods of Valmeridia.
Welcomed to the castle with all the honors, Princess Nicole is accompanied by Silva in the presence of Prince Borgon to discuss an agreement that will benefit both kingdoms. Indeed, Soleil has vast grounds, but fruit and other types of vegetables grow there with difficulty. On the contrary, the fields of the princedom of Valmeridia are much more modest in size, but have a high food production.
The discussion is long, but not difficult. Both parties are indeed willing to sign the agreement. They therefore only need to discuss the marginal details and, to do this, the dragon prince suggests to his guest to continue the discussion in the garden.
In fact, the weather is mild and the air pleasantly warm.
And so, Nicole and Borgon sit down under a porch and continue with the discussion.
Bureaucracy soon leaves room for an increasingly colloquial dialogue between the two.
The dragon tries to put the cat at ease by talking about his worldly affairs, some of which are unrelated to his duties as a sovereign, and his way of looking at the whole thing: not a lord for his subjects, but in some ways their spokesman and ally.
In fact, the castle seems to perfectly reflect the perspective just expressed by Borgon. Looking around, Nicole can see how the architecture is indeed majestic, but there's not so great luxury; with the exception of some ancient armor or tapestry, a legacy of a time that was, rather than a display of actual wealth.
On the contrary, the garden is a feast for the eyes: perfectly pruned fruit trees, and plants that despite the season are still in bloom!
At the time when Silva comes to bring food and drink for both, the prince and the princess have already left the court's chores behind, and chat about this and that.
It's still early to talk about a true alliance, but surely Prince Borgon likes the company of the princess, and hopes to be able to meet her again in the future.
Maybe, just for a simple social visit...
Royal alliances are important, especially for a little princedom.
A nice idea that
Nzuri, as always, has turned into a wholesome pic. I like her backgrounds, as well as the use of lights and shades. And the way she draws my prince is the icing on the cake.
Please visit her gallery and commission this girl!
A special thanks to
WhitePhoxx, whose charming cat princess shares the scene with my prince dragon.
I'm really satisfied with the final result of the pic, and certainly a great contribution to that is given by Nicole. Look at her, so elegant and fascinating ^^
Probably she and Borgon will still share the scene in the future, so stay tuned for more
